My cats aren’t getting along…
If you hoped your cats would be friends (or at least tolerate each other!) but are upset to see that they’re not getting along, I know how you feel and you’re not alone. Whether your cat is struggling to accept a new feline addition, or your cats’ relationship has suddenly broken down, I’m here to help you.
I understand how emotionally and physically exhausting it can be living with cats that don’t get along – the worry you feel about one or both potentially getting hurt. Or splitting your home in two and trying to spend time with both cats without risking one of them slipping through. Maybe even feeling guilty for bringing a new cat into your home, but now they’re already part of your family.
This package is designed to understand how your cats are feeling and set them up for a long-term harmonious relationship, covering (re)integration strategies, environmental modification to support a multi-cat household and maintaining the emotional health and welfare of all cats involved. Wouldn’t it be a huge relief for them to be together without you needing to constantly be on watch? And to know that both are happy living together, even if they’re not the best of friends?
If you can relate to this, you’re in the right place

“We can’t thank Lucy enough for bringing peace and harmony to our household. We did lots of research about how best to introduce our new kitten to our resident cat, including advice from our vet and hours spent on websites and watching You Tube videos. After two weeks, we felt completely overwhelmed and lost, things just weren't getting any better. We had a remote consult with Lucy who was just amazing. She was able to explain why we were seeing some of the issues that were occurring, how to overcome them and she gave us the confidence to do things differently. Our cats are now playing together, curl up to sleep together and groom one another. Lucy was so supportive, communicative and professional, we couldn’t recommend her highly enough.”

Star and Storm’s story
Storm was adopted by his lovely family at 2 years old and quickly settled into his new home. Star was 1 year old and had been part of the family since she was a kitten. Star was initially curious about Storm and meeting through a barrier went well at first. Unfortunately, without the barrier, interactions quickly turned to fighting, with Star coming off worse and clearly very distressed for a while after the meeting. The constant separation was becoming difficult to manage and the worry over whether they were ever going to be happy together had set in.
The whole family worked really hard and with my support, Star and Storm’s relationship was transformed. They said “Lucy was able to really understand the unique character of our cats, our situation and our environment. Her tailored, structured approach alongside generous amounts of ongoing support and encouragement has unlocked the situation for us and we're now well on our way to harmonious happy cats!”. Star and Storm’s family still send me updates and they are closer than ever- what a testament to their hard work, understanding and unwavering commitment!
FAQs
-
We are working with living, sentient animals with their own unique personalities, there are never any guarantees. However, part of my role is to understand your individual cats and their particular needs in a social situation. With this information, we can work together to find the solution that works for both cats, to support them to share a territory without feeling the need to attack or disappear.
-
The reality is - some cats are only suited to being the only cat in the household and find living with other cats challenging. Unless there are significant welfare concerns and the risks are very high (i.e., severe aggression with injuries), rehoming will not be recommended without extensive behavioural modifications and exhausting all appropriate avenues to help them feel happy living together.

This package is suitable for helping cats share their homes happily with a dog. Focusing on your cat’s needs in terms of environmental set up and setting them up for long term, success integration is essential. However, there is usually a significant amount of dog training involved, which is outside my area of expertise.

If you have the right level of cover, yes. I am a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist and my accreditations do mean you can reclaim the fee. Unfortunately, I’m not able to accept payments direct from insurance companies, so payment is sent to me first and you can claim it back.
-
Absolutely! You will need to provide more information initially, but the rest of the package is the same. Zoom consultations have been very effective over the past few years as often I don’t see the problem behaviour during my visit.

Up to 30 minutes travel (each way, from SO30 2GL) is included in the package. Between 30-60 minutes will incur a mileage fee of 45p per mile over 30 minutes. Unfortunately, I cannot travel for more than 60 minutes, but will be happy to help you over Zoom.
